We are now hiring for the position of Maintenance Technician.
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Location: Northern Territory
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per annum
JOB OVERVIEW:
Fabricating, repairing and maintaining steel moulds and equipment and machinery for the precast factory. Maintain and repair mechanical machinery.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Physically capable of carry out the work required, strength, coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to weld and work with a variety of tools. Use of rigging
- Current Drivers’ license incl. Truck + Crane and Forklift tickets as required
- Must have own transportation
- Mature and responsible personality
- Be willing to work weekends, and longer shifts when required
- Ability to problem solve and work autonomously
- Understanding of productivity and product output quality needs
- Understanding and commitment to OH&S and Environmental standards
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude and the ability to read plans and recognise weld symbols and terminology
- Knowledge of welding processes; TIG, MIG, ARC and perform efficient welding of various metal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products
- Assemble fabrications and perform modifications and repairs where required
- Understand welding specifications and testing requirements
- Provide assistance to production process and maintenance
- Compliance to WH&S legislation and All Cast NT’s safety system
- Compliance to All Cast NT’s Quality system
- Good Housekeeping
- Organizing, supervising & undertaking, maintenance and inspection of machines and parts
- Estimating repair and maintenance cost
- Ability to use variety of tools and equipment and apply safe welding practices
- Ability and license to use heavy plant; Forklift, Cranes
